The deceased has been identified as Hayley Nicole Barbour, a 29-year-old resident of Wilson. In connection with the shooting, authorities have apprehended Arnold Leo Ferrell III, a 38-year-old from Wilson. He faces a charge of open murder and has been denied bail.
