Jaelyn Walker Obituary, Death; – A memorial has been established for a young girl from Moorhead who tragically lost her life due to a stabbing incident at Gooseberry Park last week. Jaelyn Walker, only 14 years of age, was preparing to begin her freshman year at Moorhead High School this week.
The duration for which the memorial has been present remains uncertain. It features a photograph of Walker, a cross, flowers, a pair of red shoes, and additional items. This memorial is situated near the Red River, close to the intersection of 6th Avenue and Elm Street, where her body was discovered.
According to reports, her mother filed a missing person report on August 19. Investigators managed to trace her phone and located her the following morning. Eighteen-year-old Issac Arndt was arrested shortly thereafter and has been charged with murder in connection with her death. He is currently being held on a bond of $1 million at the Clay County Jail.
Court documents reveal that the two had recently ended their relationship and had arranged to meet at the park. Records indicate that an argument ensued, during which Arndt confessed to stabbing Walker 13 times before fleeing the scene.
