Joseph Campbell Obituary, Death; – Authorities in Prince George’s County have confirmed the identity of the individual who was fatally shot in an Upper Marlboro neighborhood.
On Tuesday, November 19, shortly before 9 a.m., law enforcement officers were dispatched to a shooting incident that occurred in the rear section of the Highland Gate community, situated in the 14200 block of Barenton Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered Joseph Campbell, 57, a resident of Upper Marlboro, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. Initial investigations indicate that Campbell was acquainted with the individual who shot him. Law enforcement reported that the shooter remained at the location following the incident.
Detectives are currently in consultation with the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney’s Office as the investigation continues. As of Wednesday, no charges have been filed in connection with the case.
