Joshua Mark Wells,Latasha Kay Wells Obituary, Death; – A family is grieving the tragic loss of a couple who died in a vehicular accident while engaged in Christmas shopping.
Joshua Mark Wells, aged 39, and his wife, Latasha Kay Wells, aged 44, were traveling on AA Highway in Maysville, Kentucky, on Saturday when their vehicle was struck from behind, according to initial investigations.
The Kentucky State Police reported that the force of the collision caused the Wells’ vehicle to veer into oncoming traffic, resulting in a further impact with another car. Both Joshua and Latasha Wells were pronounced dead at the scene by the county coroner.
A relative shared that the Wells were deeply connected and had an extraordinary affection for their children and family. Hope Tully, Joshua Wells’ sister, recounted her last conversation with the couple prior to the accident.
Tully mentioned that they were excitedly sharing details about their recent Christmas shopping. “He was telling me what he got my kids,” Tully recalled. “He was so proud of the gifts he had chosen for them.” Upon hearing of an accident in the vicinity of their shopping location, she attempted to reach out to the couple.
“I messaged my brother asking, ‘Are 
you all home?’ but received no response,” Tully stated. “I then texted again, saying, ‘There’s a wreck on AA and the road is shut down,’ but still got no reply.” The Christmas presents and toys the couple had purchased were found scattered at the accident site, as noted by another family member, Hannah Wells.
She mentioned that a firefighter collected the toys and delivered them to her home. “This way, family members could still receive one last gift that Josh and Latasha had selected, and we cannot express enough gratitude for that,” Hannah Wells remarked.
Hannah Wells also indicated that the couple leaves behind Joshua Wells’ 12-year-old daughter. A GoFundMe campaign has been established to assist with funeral costs and to ensure his daughter has a memorable Christmas.
