Dechia Arthur Obituary, Death; – An 18-year-old woman has been confirmed as the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred during a house party on 64th Street SW in Naples on Saturday evening.
NEWSCHAIN has spoken with friends and family members who have identified the victim as Dechia Arthur, a former student of Lely High School who had recently transferred to Beacon High School. Arthur was on track to graduate this year.
On Monday, loved ones gathered at a memorial near the site of the incident, placing flowers and candles around her nickname, “DD.” The Collier County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of the shooting, reporting that Arthur was struck and killed by gunfire outside the residence.
Authorities have not yet identified a suspect; however, the investigation is ongoing as they pursue leads to locate the individual responsible.
