Ahmad Alkhalaf Obituary, Death; – An incident that began as a seemingly harmless transaction on the Facebook marketplace escalated into a tragic event. According to Fox News, a 66-year-old man from Texas was fatally shot while attempting to sell his cell phone. The individual charged with murder in this case is 19-year-old Amaya Medrano.
On November 13, the Dallas police announced the arrest of Medrano, identifying the victim as Ahmad Alkhalaf. His body was discovered at a gas station in Oak Cliff on November 8, positioned next to his pickup truck. The Dallas police reported that they responded to a shooting in the 300 block of S. Morales Ave. at approximately 3 PM on that date. Investigators revealed that one individual had been shot, and despite the efforts of Dallas Fire Rescue to transport the victim to a local hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
It is particularly disheartening that this incident stemmed from Ahmad’s innocent attempt to sell his iPhone to a prospective buyer. Surveillance footage captured a brief exchange between Ahmad and Amaya, after which she shot him and fled the scene. Medrano is currently in custody at the Dallas County jail, with her bond set at $1 million.
