Dominique Rattler Obituary, Death; – An arrest report acquired by FOX5 provides insights into the circumstances surrounding a fatal shooting that occurred at an east valley park earlier this month.

On Friday, October 4, two teenagers were apprehended on charges of robbery and murder—one being 19-year-old Serge Kamga, while the other remains unnamed and is 16 years old. As previously reported by FOX5, law enforcement indicated that children were present at Lewis Family Park during the incident.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department received initial reports of gunfire at the park at approximately 8:22 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found the victim, Dominique Rattler, suffering from gunshot wounds and subsequently transported him to Sunrise Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

At the scene, officers interviewed multiple witnesses who had observed the shooting, including one individual who stated they had been in the vehicle with the victim prior to the incident.

According to the witness’s account, they drove to the park with Rattler, who mentioned he intended to sell drugs to “two kids.” Upon their arrival, the witness noticed two teenagers dressed in dark clothing and ski masks. In response, Rattler reportedly retrieved a firearm and placed it in the vehicle’s cupholder.

Rattler exited the car to approach the teenagers, at which point the witness heard gunfire. They noted that Rattler attempted to reach for the firearm but fell before he could secure it. The witness then observed the two teenagers fleeing the scene while attempting to shoot at her, prompting her to call 911.

Additionally, police interviewed Rattler’s wife, who indicated that she had accompanied him to meet the two suspects a week prior to the shooting. When he mentioned dealing with them again, she expressed concern, stating, “No high schooler has $1500” and urged him not to go.

During police questioning, the 16-year-old denied any involvement in the shooting, while Kamga claimed that the incident was not a robbery attempt. He stated that he “felt his life was in danger” when Rattler brandished a firearm, as noted in the report. Kamga is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on Tuesday, October 22, while the 16-year-old is set for a status check.
