Jonathan Contreras Obituary, Death; – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has confirmed the identities of all five victims involved in the tragic Jack County accident that occurred on Sunday, November 16.
According to the DPS crash report, the incident took place shortly after 1:00 p.m. on November 16 along U.S. Highway 380, approximately nine miles west of Jacksboro. The report indicated that a 2018 Honda Accord was traveling west when the driver attempted to overtake another vehicle in a no-passing zone, resulting in a head-on collision with an eastbound Honda SUV. The Accord subsequently rolled over and came to rest on its roof; all three occupants were declared dead at the scene.
The three individuals in the 2018 Honda Accord were teenagers, aged 17, 15, and 15. Due to their status as minors, their names will not be disclosed to the public.
The 30-year-old driver of the other vehicle was transported to a hospital in Fort Worth with serious injuries, while her 29-year-old passenger, Jonathan Contreras from Bryson, and a one-year-old child tragically lost their lives at the scene. Additionally, a four-year-old boy who was also in the SUV was airlifted to Cook Children’s Hospital with serious injuries.
