Maries Johnybear Obituary, Death;- The 72-year-old man who was killed after being hit by a car in Provo on Sunday afternoon has been identified.
The Provo Police Department confirmed that the victim is Maries Johnybear.
Law enforcement reported that Johnybear was crossing the street near 1980 North and State St just after 1:00 p.m. when he was hit.
Johnybear was using a mobility scooter and was not utilizing a crosswalk or at an intersection at the time.
Police shared that Johnybear was transported to Utah Valley Hospital but later died from his injuries.
