Parker Payne Obituary, Death; – The Posey County Sheriff has confirmed the identity of the teenager who lost his life in a crash early Friday morning.
Sheriff Tom Latham reports that 19-year-old Parker Payne from Cynthiana was found deceased when deputies arrived at the 9000 block of State Road 65 in Cynthiana at approximately 3:26 a.m. on Friday.
According to the deputies, Payne’s truck sustained considerable damage on the driver’s side, with the bed of the truck partially wrapped around a tree. Evansville Police were summoned to the location to assist with the reconstruction of the incident.
The Sheriff indicated that alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the crash; however, the investigation remains ongoing.
