John McQueen Obituary, Death; – A 48-year-old cyclist tragically lost his life in a hit-and-run incident on Rockwell Road in Winchester on November 17, as reported by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.
According to officials, a man named John McQueen was riding his bicycle eastbound on Rockwell Road when a vehicle struck him from behind. The driver momentarily halted but then fled the scene without checking on McQueen or seeking assistance, authorities stated.
Subsequently, passing motorists discovered the bicycle and possibly a person lying near it. Upon the arrival of deputies, they found a bicycle with its headlight illuminated in a ditch and located McQueen in the same ditch, as per the authorities’ report.
The Clark County Coroner declared McQueen deceased at the scene.
Authorities have confirmed that the driver, identified as 54-year-old Joseph Shrader, was located at his residence on November 18. He has been charged with operating a vehicle without a license, having no or expired registration, and leaving the scene of an accident while failing to render aid resulting in death or serious physical injury.
