Michael Huckabee Obituary, Death; – The Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim of the homicide resulting from Monday’s officer-involved shooting.
The individual who lost their life in the homicide has been named as 47-year-old Michael Huckabee.
Authorities believe that Huckabee was shot and killed at 37 Dandy Road by 41-year-old Johnny Queen, who is reported to have been Huckabee’s friend.
Following Huckabee’s death, deputies report that Queen fled the scene, prompting a two-hour manhunt.
When law enforcement located Queen, they allege that he aimed a firearm at the deputies, who subsequently shot and killed him.
Sheriff Bill Phillips has stated that the two deputies involved in the shooting have been placed on paid administrative leave.
Sheriff Phillips also mentioned that his agency is carrying out an internal affairs investigation regarding the incident.
