Jerrodte Shelby Obituary, Death; – A man was fatally shot in the West Town area of Chicago, according to police reports.
The incident occurred on Sunday at approximately 3:04 a.m. in the 100 block of N. Elizabeth Street, as stated by the police.
Upon their arrival at the scene, officers discovered a 28-year-old man lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to his abdomen, police reported.
He was transported to Stroger Hospital; however, his condition was not immediately available.
On Monday, the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that the victim had succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased was identified as Jerrodte Shelby, according to the medical examiner.
No individuals are currently in custody.
