Ashanti Randolph Arrested; – A man from Chicago has been apprehended and charged in connection with the alleged murder of a 34-year-old individual on the West Side of the city in early September. Ashanti Randolph, aged 29, faces charges of first-degree murder and aggravated assault involving the discharge of a firearm from a motor vehicle.
Randolph was taken into custody by the Chicago Police Department in collaboration with the US Marshals’ Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force on Monday in the 7200 block of South Shore Drive.
He was identified as the suspect responsible for the shooting death of a 34-year-old man on September 1 in the 1000 block of West Lake Street, located in the West Loop neighborhood of the city. A detention hearing for Randolph is set to take place on Wednesday, October 9. Currently, no further details are available.
