Jordan Betancourt-Escorza Obituary, Death; – New Haven police have identified the driver who died after his vehicle collided with a CT Transit bus on Friday evening.
Police said video footage showed Jordan Betancourt-Escorza, 25, of New Haven, was driving a VW Golf GLS southbound on Middletown Avenue. Betancourt-Escorza crossed into the northbound travel lane and collided head-on with a CT Transit bus.
At the scene, Betancourt-Escorza was located in the driver’s seat, suffering from apparent injuries.
Fire and medical personnel rendered aid, but Betancourt-Escorza died from his injuries at Yale New Haven Hospital.
