Kamron Killings Obituary, Death; – Mobile police have disclosed the identity of the individual currently facing charges for the murder of a man who was killed over the weekend.
On Monday, around 10 a.m., law enforcement officials responded to a death investigation at a residence located in the 1300 block of E. Linwood Drive.
Upon their arrival, officers found a male victim, later identified as Kamron Killings, aged 24, deceased inside the residence.
Following a thorough investigation, authorities determined that Killings was shot on Sunday, September 21, by Jaylin Roberts-Westry, aged 18, as stated in a recent announcement.
According to the police, Roberts-Westry shot Killings at the residence before taking his vehicle. On Monday morning, prior to the discovery of Killings’ body, at approximately 12:31 a.m., officers noticed Roberts-Westry driving on McVay Drive with his headlights turned off.
Law enforcement attempted to conduct a traffic stop; however, Roberts-Westry did not comply, resulting in a pursuit that concluded in the 200 block of Government Street, as per the announcement.
Roberts-Westry was apprehended and taken to Metro Jail, where he is currently being held without bond.
Mobile PD has stated that no additional information will be released.
