Fannie Jane Garza Obituary, Death; Lampasas Police identify 63-year-old woman killed in Highway 190 pedestrian crash

Fannie Jane Garza Obituary, Death; – Authorities have confirmed the identity of the woman who tragically lost her life on Saturday, September 20, after being hit by a pickup truck while trying to cross East Highway 190.

Fannie Jane Garza was declared deceased at the scene following the incident that took place around 8:37 p.m. in the 100 block of East Highway 190, just one block east of Key Avenue, as reported by the Lampasas Police Department.

Initial investigations revealed that Garza was walking north across the highway when she was struck by a 2013 Dodge 2500 pickup truck that was traveling westbound in the outer lane. Both the driver and the passenger of the pickup truck were unharmed in the accident.

An autopsy has been requested to determine the cause of death and to officially identify the victim. Subsequently, the Lampasas Police Department received information that aided in the identification process, which was communicated to the medical examiner.

The department announced Garza’s identity on Monday afternoon and expressed their condolences to her family and friends.
