Victor Lamar Evans II Obituary, Death; – Authorities have identified the driver who was traveling the wrong way and was fatally injured in a head-on collision with an 18-wheeler on I-35 in north Austin last week.
Victor Lamar Evans II, aged 23, was declared deceased at the scene of the crash that occurred on September 18, as reported by the Austin Police Department.
The accident took place at 2:16 a.m. in the 12300 block of northbound I-35, close to Tech Ridge Boulevard. According to police, Evans was operating a sedan in the southbound lanes when he collided with the 18-wheeler and another sedan.
No additional injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
This incident represents the 73rd fatal crash in Austin for the year 2025, leading to a total of 76 fatalities.
