Francisco Garcia Obituary, Death;- On Tuesday, the police identified a man who was shot by officers in Los Angeles after he allegedly brandished a handgun during a foot pursuit in Boyle Heights.
Francisco Garcia, aged 30, sustained injuries around 10:45 p.m. on Sunday when officers from the Hollenbeck Gang Enforcement Unit attempted to apprehend him near the 2400 block of Boulder Street, as reported by the Los Angeles Police Department.
According to police, the suspect fled the scene, prompting a brief foot chase that ended in the rear alley of an apartment complex. Garcia “fell while running between residences and drew a handgun from his waistband, which led to an officer-involved shooting,” the LAPD stated.
