Jasmine Johnson Obituary, Death- A woman was tragically shot and killed in Philadelphia early on Tuesday morning.
According to the Philadelphia Police, Jasmine Johnson, aged 27, succumbed to her injuries at 12:35 a.m. after being shot approximately 15 minutes earlier.
The incident occurred around 12:19 a.m. on Tuesday in the 3100 block of West Montgomery Avenue, as reported by the police. Authorities stated that Johnson was on the front porch of her residence, conversing with two individuals, when the shooting took place.
She fled into her home, where she collapsed on the living room floor, as per police accounts.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a woman, later identified as Johnson, lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to her back. Emergency medical personnel pronounced her dead at the scene, according to police reports.
Authorities recovered multiple spent casings from both a rifle and a semiautomatic handgun along the highway in the 3100 block of West Montgomery Avenue. They suspect that a shootout occurred based on the location of the shell casings.
Police indicated that at least one bullet penetrated her home, while another struck a neighboring property, both becoming embedded in the walls.
As of now, police have not made any arrests.
