Serenity Brown Obituary, Death; – A man from Toronto has been charged with murder in relation to the death of a woman in the High Park area of the city late last week.
On September 5, shortly before 6 p.m., police reported that they were summoned to the vicinity of Glenlake and High Park avenues, situated north of Bloor Street West, for a medical emergency.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a woman suffering from critical injuries inside a vehicle. The victim, identified by authorities as 21-year-old Serenity Brown from Toronto, was swiftly transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. She marks the city’s 30th murder victim of the year.
As reported by Canadian Press, Brown had been residing in the Oneida Nation of the Thames until she relocated to Toronto independently at the age of 18. News outlets indicate that she originally hailed from London.
On Monday, Trinel Thornhill, aged 48, also from Toronto, was apprehended and charged with second-degree murder. He is set to appear in bail court on Tuesday morning.
A media officer from the Toronto police has confirmed to CTV News Toronto that the accused and the victim were “known to one another,” although the specifics of their relationship could not be verified.
