Alfredo Trevino,Curtis Van Atta Jr Obituary, Death; – Authorities have publicly identified two San Diego-area residents who lost their lives over the last week in traffic crashes.
Shortly before 7 p.m. Thursday, 46-year-old Alfredo Trevino of Vista lost control of the motorcycle he was riding on state Route 79 in Julian, according to the county Medical Examiner’s Office.
The southbound two-wheeler veered into oncoming traffic near Harrison Park Road and collided with an SUV, fatally injuring Trevino, the agency reported. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Labor Day, a pileup on a Santee street fatally injured a Santee resident, the medical examiner reported. Curtis Van Atta Jr., 50, was driving a sedan that collided with other vehicles and struck a utility pole on Carlton Hills Boulevard shortly after 11 a.m. on Sept 1.
Paramedics took Van Atta to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego, where he was pronounced dead two days later.
