Alan Roger Mason Obituary, Death; – An Upstate man died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle collision early Thursday morning near Westminster.
The Oconee County Coroner’s Office identified 56-year-old Alan Roger Mason, of Westminster, as the victim of the fatal crash that occurred on Phillip Lear Road. The collision was reported to Oconee 911 communications around 4:30 a.m.
Details of what may have led to the crash have not been released at this time. Mason was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries before 10 a.m. in the intensive care unit.
His manner of death has been classified as accidental. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
