George W Houck Obituary, Death; – The Virginia State Police are conducting an investigation into a deadly accident that resulted in the death of a man from Bassett early on Sunday morning in Carroll County. The incident occurred at 1:29 a.m. on August 24 along Route 58, close to Shaners Way.
As per the investigators, a 2012 Toyota Venza that was traveling westbound veered off the right side of the road, colliding with a culvert and an embankment before rolling over several times.
The driver, who has been identified as 46-year-old George W. Houck from Bassett, Virginia, was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities reported that Houck was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
The State Police have confirmed that the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
