Linda Sandford Obituary, Death; – A 63-year-old woman has died following a house fire in Macon on Monday evening.
As reported by the Macon-Bibb Fire Department, crews were dispatched at approximately 5:25 p.m. in response to reports of a fire at a residence located on the 3000 block of Pio Nono Ave.
Upon arrival, they found a single-story house with smoke and flames emanating from the front left bedroom. Firefighters promptly initiated efforts to extinguish the fire while conducting a search of the premises for any victims.
They swiftly located a female victim, ensured her safety, and commenced first aid.
Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones has identified the victim as 63-year-old Linda Sandford. She was transported to a local emergency room by Atrium EMS but unfortunately succumbed to her injuries later.
