Joshua R Herrold Obituary, Death; – A 44-year-old man lost his life yesterday in a single-vehicle accident on Route 522 in Snyder County.
Joshua R. Herrold, a resident of Beavertown, was declared dead at the scene shortly after the incident occurred at 5:25 p.m. on August 25, as reported by PSP Selinsgrove.
Herrold was driving south at an estimated speed of 50 mph when his 2013 Honda Pilot veered off the north side of the roadway and collided with the south side of a residence located in the 1300 block. The Honda then rotated counterclockwise before coming to a stop in the front yard of the house, facing north, according to Trooper Derek Gill.
Authorities spoke with two witnesses who observed the accident. Gill noted that Herrold was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Reliance Fire Company, EMS, Ebrights Towing, and the Snyder County Coroner’s Office provided assistance at the scene.
