Charles Davis Obituary, Death; – Authorities have identified the man who died early Aug. 22 after being hit by a vehicle while crossing North Loop 340.
Bellmead Police Department have identified the man struck by a vehicle as 58-year-old Charles Davis, and have notified the deceased  next of kin.
Bellmead Police and Fire Department personnel responded to reports of a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian at approximately 5:32 a.m. in the 900 block of North Loop 340, Friday, Aug. 22.
Officers reported that their preliminary investigation indicated that the pedestrian, Charles Davis, was walking across the roadway when he was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound. The driver of the vehicle was not injured in the crash.
Davis was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are continuing to investigate the incident and will release additional information as it becomes available.
