Kyelonna Meya Smiley Obituary, Death; – Phoenix police have identified a teen girl who was found shot and killed at a west Phoenix apartment not far from Desert Sky Mall earlier this week.
On Thursday, authorities identified the victim as 15-year-old Kyelonna Meya Smiley.
Phoenix police responded to reports of a dead body near 75th Avenue and Encanto Boulevard around 9:40 a.m. on Monday. Officers arrived and found Smiley had been shot dead. Investigators at the time thought she was in her 20s.
Officers confirmed Thursday evening that no arrests have been made. Anyone with information is asked to call Phoenix PD or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO for Spanish speakers, where all tips can remain anonymous.
