Jack Brewer Jr Obituary, Death; – Authorities have identified the bicyclist killed in a late-night traffic collision last month in Hesperia as 58-year-old Jack Brewer, Jr., a resident of Big Bear. The fatal crash occurred on Monday, July 28, 2025, at about 10:00 p.m on Main Street just west of Pyrite Avenue.
According to a written statement from the Hesperia Police Department, a 2018 Tesla was traveling westbound in the number two lane on Main Street when it struck the bicyclist, who was reportedly riding in the middle of the lane without lights.
The impact knocked Brewer off the bicycle and into a nearby field. The 22-year-old Hesperia man driving the Tesla immediately pulled over, called 911, and remained at the scene.
Emergency personnel from the San Bernardino County Fire Department responded, but Brewer was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Hesperia Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) responded and assumed the investigation. Authorities confirmed that drugs and alcohol were not contributing factors.
