Trenton Anderson Obituary, Death; – A teenager died days after a two-car crash in Western North Carolina last month, troopers announced on Tuesday.
Trenton Anderson, 14, was identified as the passenger killed as a result of the collision. Records showed Samuel Nelson, 18, the driver of the car Anderson was in, is facing multiple charges. A list of the charges he’s facing can be found at the bottom of this article.
The wreck reportedly happened around 2:35 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, along Highway 21 near South Center Church Road in Wilkes County. Troopers said Nelson was driving northbound when he failed to reduce speed and struck a northbound Dodge Ram 3500.
Both Nelson and Anderson were rushed to nearby hospitals — Nelson with non-life-threatening injuries, and Anderson in critical condition. Anderson died from his injuries days later, on Wednesday, July 30.The driver of the Dodge was not hurt; however, a passenger in that truck was reportedly taken to an area hospital with minor injuries. Nelson was issued multiple charges concerning the collision, which are listed below.
