Thomas Garrison Obituary, Death; – Officials with the Alexander Police Department confirmed that a man was killed after being struck by a train.
Police officials said they arrived at the site of the crash in the 17200 block of Brookwood Road around 5:50 p.m. Thursday.
After arriving, officers said they found a man, later identified as 71-year-old Thomas Garrison. Officers said they attempted to save Garrison until medical personnel arrived, but he died at the scene.
Investigators said they do not suspect foul play in the incident.
