Carlos Magana Obituary, Death; – A man who was shot and killed last Wednesday night in Sacramento has been identified.
Felix Omar Diaz Cortez, 27, a resident of Sacramento, was pronounced dead around 11 p.m. in the vicinity of the 3800 block of Florin Road, as reported by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
Diaz Cortez was reportedly shot at least once by 40-year-old Carlos Magana, who hails from Mexico, and was declared dead at the scene. Magana was taken into custody on Thursday afternoon at the Sacramento County Main Jail, where he faces a murder charge and is not eligible for bail, according to correctional records.
He was arraigned four days later and is scheduled to appear on July 24 in Sacramento County Superior Court for a bail review and a settlement conference.nFootage collected by ABC10 indicates that the shooting occurred near Franklin Boulevard.
