David Tristan Mayen Arrested; 1 killed in I-30 crash with drunk driver in Fort Worth; suspect arrested: cops

David Tristan Mayen Arrested; – A 31-year-old man, suspected of driving under the influence, was apprehended following a deadly collision in Fort Worth on the morning of June 22, as reported by the police. Officers arrived at the scene of the accident on eastbound Interstate 30, close to Beach Street. The incident involved two pickup trucks that were both traveling east on I-30.

According to the police report, the suspect was operating a blue Chevrolet, while the victim was behind the wheel of a silver Toyota. Investigators found that the Chevrolet struck the Toyota on the left rear side of the truck bed. Subsequently, both vehicles careened down a hill and came to a halt in the grass south of the freeway, as stated by the police. The victim, who was declared dead at the scene by Medstar personnel, will be identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.

David Tristan Mayen, the driver of the Chevrolet, informed the police that both pickups changed lanes simultaneously, resulting in a spin that led them down the hill, according to the report. Police indicated that Mayen was arrested following a field sobriety test and is facing a charge of intoxication manslaughter related to a vehicle. He was taken to the Tarrant County Jail, where his bond was set at $25,000.
