Julia K Cvicker,Jahvarius J Wicks Obituary, Death;- The Janesville police reported on Friday that the shooting deaths of three individuals on Tuesday were a case of domestic murder-suicide.
The incidents occurred around 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday at the Aspen Square apartments, located at 2605 N. Pontiac Drive. Initially, the situation was described as “a family problem” before being classified as shots fired.
Upon entering the apartment complex, officers discovered one unresponsive adult at the entrance of Apartment 7, who had a visible gunshot wound. Inside the apartment, they found three additional adults, all with visible gunshot wounds, as stated by Lt. Jennifer Seeger.
Three individuals were pronounced dead at the scene, while one was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and is currently in critical condition.
A firearm was located near one of the deceased individuals. Following a comprehensive collection and analysis of evidence, the preliminary investigation revealed that one individual shot the other three before taking their own life, with the shootings originating from a domestic relationship involving two of the individuals. No children were present in the apartment during the incident.
On Friday, the Rock County Medical Examiner’s Department identified the three deceased individuals as Julia K. Cvicker, 25, Jahvarius J. Wicks, 21, and Scott M. Roberts, 55, all residents of Janesville. The identity of the fourth individual remains undisclosed, and authorities have not confirmed which individual was the shooter.
The medical examiner’s department indicated that the cause and manner of death are still pending, with further testing being conducted. Seeger mentioned that “due to privacy concerns and the ongoing investigation, we are limited in the information we can release,” and no further details will be provided.
The Janesville police and the Rock County Medical Examiner’s Department continue to investigate the deaths.
