Ronald Charles Anderson Obituary, Death; – An 82-year-old man from Tarrant County was attacked and killed by dogs while tending to his yard on Monday, according to officials. Sheriff’s deputies received a call around 4 p.m. regarding an incident in the 7800 block of Slay Street, located in a neighborhood just south of Eagle Mountain Lake.

Upon arrival, they discovered a man “with injuries consistent with dog bites,” as stated by the Sheriff’s Office in a news release on Thursday. The man was already deceased when the deputies reached the scene. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner has identified the deceased as Ronald Charles Anderson, a resident of Fort Worth.

Deputies took three dogs from a neighbor’s property. Anderson’s daughter, Cinda Sackett, informed KXAS-TV that the dogs had entered through a hole in the fence and had previously attacked other neighbors. “This was an unnecessary death, and it certainly could have been avoided,” Sackett remarked to KXAS. The investigation into Anderson’s death is still ongoing, as per the release. The Sheriff’s Office has not disclosed whether the dogs’ owner will face any charges.
