Raymundo Markal Vasquez Arrested; – Charleston police are investigating after they say an argument between two relatives turned deadly on James Island over the weekend.
Officers responded to the intersection of Ferguson Road and Danny Street shortly before 8 p.m. on June 8 for reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found a deceased individual with an apparent gunshot wound.
The suspect, identified as 30-year-old Raymundo Markal Vasquez, was immediately located and taken into custody, according to the Charleston Police Department. Authorities said preliminary information indicates that the shooting arose out of an argument, and that Vasquez and the victim were related.
Vasquez was charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
