Alicia Half,Alexia Half Obituary, Death;- The Coroner’s Office of Yellowstone County announced on Friday that the two teenagers who lost their lives in a single-vehicle accident on Airport Road were sisters residing in Billings.
Alicia Half, aged 16, and Alexia Half, aged 18, tragically died early Wednesday when a vehicle carrying four individuals rolled over east of the roundabout at the Billings airport. The sisters and one other passenger were ejected from the vehicle, while the identities of the two surviving injured occupants have not been disclosed, nor has the driver been identified by the police.
Jesse Cash, the brother of Alicia and Alexia Half, expressed his grief to MTN News, stating, ‘Every time I hung out with them – they made me laugh. They spread so much joy. Can’t see them no more. My heart aches.’ The pain of losing his sisters is still fresh for Cash, who described them as significant pillars of his support system despite being younger. ‘I know they’re watching me – I know they’re protecting me,’ he remarked.
Their mother, Mary Lou Half, emphasized that her daughters were more than just victims of the accident. ‘My girls were just so full of life… Alexia was a go-getter, always pursuing her dreams. I would tell her to reach for the stars, and she did. Alicia had a passion for makeup, often spending hours perfecting her look and assisting her sister for prom or dances,’ she shared. She urged teenagers who learned of this tragedy to wear their seatbelts and heed their parents’ guidance, stating, ‘When your parents tell you something, please listen.
They say it because they love you and care about you.’ The girls’ father expressed his struggle to come to terms with the loss of his daughters, lamenting, ‘No one should bury their children – it should be the opposite.’ He also conveyed the family’s gratitude for the community’s support following the devastating incident. Preliminary investigations indicated that speed may have contributed to the crash, according to police reports.
