Carey Frost Obituary, Death; – A judge in Hinds County has denied bail for a man accused of a double homicide that took place on Sunday in West Jackson.

Jackson Police Chief Joseph Wade reported that authorities received a disturbance call around 3:30 p.m. on Sunday from the 1100 block of McDowell Circle.

Wade stated that 36-year-old Jarvis Anderson engaged in a “disagreement” with 33-year-old Carey Frost at a residence. During this altercation, Anderson shot and killed Frost, a white male, before fleeing to a nearby house to evade capture.

According to Wade, when Anderson sought refuge at the adjacent home, a Black female resident denied him entry. Subsequently, Anderson shot and killed her. Public Information Officer Tommie Brown later confirmed to the Clarion Ledger that the female victim was identified as 37-year-old Tiffany Johnson.

Wade indicated that Anderson was apprehended and charged with double homicide. He made his first court appearance on Monday, April 7, where a judge denied him bail.

Additionally, police reported the recovery of two stolen vehicles at the scene, although it remains unclear whether these vehicles were connected to the incident.
