Calvin Durward Jacobsen Obituary, Death; – A head-on collision north of the Twin Cities resulted in the fatalities of both drivers, as reported by officials on Tuesday.
The incident, which involved an SUV and a compact vehicle, took place shortly after 2 p.m. on Monday in Athens Township, specifically on 269th Avenue NE, near its intersection with Tucker Trail NE, according to the Isanti County Sheriff’s Office.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered both drivers deceased at the scene, with no passengers present in either vehicle.
The victims have been identified by the Sheriff’s Office as Calvin Durward Jacobsen, 94, from Bradford Township, Minnesota, and Nicholas Paul Murray, 29, from Isanti, Minnesota. Jacobsen was operating the SUV, while Murray was behind the wheel of the compact car.
Sheriff Wayne Seiberlich stated that the State Patrol is investigating the events that led to the crash.
