Maurice Tyner Obituary, Death; – A man was fatally shot in Northeast Washington, D.C., on Saturday evening, as reported by the Metropolitan Police Department.
According to officials, officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Mount Olivet Road shortly after midnight on Saturday in response to a shooting report. Upon their arrival, they discovered a man, later identified as 55-year-old Maurice Tyner, who had sustained a gunshot wound. Tyner was transported to a nearby hospital for medical care; however, he succumbed to his injuries the following day, on Sunday.
The investigation into the shooting is still active, officials stated. Police are urging anyone with relevant information to contact them at 202-727-9099. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the individual responsible for this crime, according to officials.
