Willie Hopkins Jr,Kimberly Leon Obituary, Death; – The Saluda County Coroner’s Office has disclosed the names of a man and a woman who lost their lives in a shooting incident on Monday evening.
The deceased man has been identified as 44-year-old Willie Hopkins Jr., while the woman has been named as 52-year-old Kimberly Leon.
Deputies from the Saluda County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) reported that they were dispatched to a facility in Ward, owned by Darling Ingredients Inc., previously known as Valley Proteins Inc., just before 6 p.m. on Monday.
Upon their arrival, they found the two victims at the scene. The Saluda County Coroner’s Office indicated that the SCSO, along with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), is actively investigating the shooting. Autopsies for both victims are planned for later this week, as stated by the Coroner’s Office.
