Steven M Sandquist Obituary, Death; – The Allen County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the individual who lost his life in a single-vehicle accident on I-69 early Monday morning. According to law enforcement, the incident occurred at the 313-mile marker of northbound I-69, just north of the Coldwater Road exit, at approximately 2:50 a.m.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered an unconscious male within a vehicle that had collided with the median. The man was subsequently transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. On Tuesday, the coroner identified the deceased as 61-year-old Steven M. Sandquist from Fort Wayne.
The cause of Sandquist’s death has been determined to be an accident, marking the ninth motor vehicle fatality in Allen County this year. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
