Oscar Castillo Obituary, Death; – Authorities have confirmed the identity of the individual who lost his life in the auto-pedestrian incident that occurred on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Oscar Castillo, a 54-year-old resident of Pharr. On Friday afternoon, law enforcement officials were dispatched to the scene of the accident, which took place in the 1600 block of West Interstate 2.
As reported in a news release from the Pharr Police Department, Castillo was in the process of crossing the interstate when the accident occurred. He was declared dead at the scene. According to police reports, only one vehicle was involved in the incident, and the driver remained at the location following the collision.
