Donald Steven Ricker Obituary, Death; – In relation to a tragic hit-and-run incident that occurred on Friday, February 14, in Catawba County, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol has announced the seizure of a Ford truck and the identification of a person of interest. As of noon on February 18, no additional information has been made available.
The victim, 58-year-old Donald Steven Ricker from Newton, lost his life on U.S. 70 near 4th Street S.W. on Friday night when the bicycle he was riding was struck by a vehicle believed to be a 2018, 2019, or 2020 model of either a Ford F-150, F-250 Super Duty, or potentially a Ford Mustang.
