Charles Shauger Obituary, Death; – State police are conducting an investigation into a deadly crash that occurred over the weekend involving a pickup truck in the town of Liberty.
According to state police, troopers from the Liberty barracks responded to a report of a single-vehicle accident on Ferndale Loomis Road shortly after 11 a.m. on Saturday.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2019 Chevrolet pickup truck was heading west on Ferndale Loomis Road when it veered off the road to the right, collided with a utility pole, and subsequently overturned.
The driver, identified as 59-year-old Charles Shauger from Sparrowbush, was extricated from the vehicle. Shauger was transported to Garnet Health Medical Center Catskills in Harris, where he was later pronounced deceased.
