Eddie Alobhouet,Tristan Simard Obituary, Death; – Ontario Provincial Police have named two individuals who were fatally shot during an attempted home invasion in South Glengarry Township, located in eastern Ontario, earlier this month.
Authorities received a call regarding the incident at a residence on Old Highway 2, situated between County Road 23 and County Road 26, at approximately 9 p.m. on February 2. Upon arrival, officers discovered the bodies of two men inside the home.
As per police reports, the situation unfolded when three individuals attempted to gain entry into the residence. They were confronted, resulting in two of them being shot. The third individual managed to flee, and law enforcement is actively seeking to locate and identify him.
The deceased have been identified as Eddie Alobhouet, aged 19, and Tristan Simard, aged 18, both of whom were residents of Saint-Jérôme, Quebec. Authorities believe the incident was targeted, and they do not consider there to be any ongoing threat to public safety.
The two occupants of the home were unharmed during the event but were initially taken into custody. They have since been released without any charges. Police have reported that several items, including firearms, were confiscated from the residence.
