Nathaniel Hairston Obituary, Death; – An 83-year-old individual has passed away following a collision with a vehicle earlier this January, as reported by officials from the Winston-Salem Police Department.
On January 15, law enforcement stated that two pedestrians were attempting to cross Deacon Boulevard when they were struck by a 2000 Jeep Wrangler traveling east in the left lane. One of the individuals, an 83-year-old man, was taken to a local hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries, while the other pedestrian, aged 78, suffered minor injuries.
The driver of the Jeep Wrangler remained at the scene to assist the authorities with their investigation, which is still ongoing.
On Sunday, the Winston-Salem Police Department was informed that the 83-year-old, identified as Nathaniel Hairston, had succumbed to his injuries. The Traffic Enforcement Unit of the WSPD is currently conducting the investigation.
As of now, no charges have been filed.
