As reported by the Chesterfield County Police Department, officers were dispatched to the scene of an accident involving a vehicle and a bicycle in the 16500 block of Jefferson Davis Highway at 6:42 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Gonzalez, who had been ejected from his bicycle.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the incident remained at the location and is cooperating with the authorities, as stated by officials.
