Kayron Hall,Percy Baytop Obituary, Death; – A man and a teenage boy, both victims of separate shootings on New Year’s Day, were identified on Monday morning by the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office.
At approximately 2 a.m., officers from the New Orleans Police Department arrived at the scene of the first homicide of the year, located in the 600 block of Convention Center Boulevard. Percy Baytop, aged 41, was discovered in the garage of Caesar’s Casino, positioned outside his red Toyota Camry with a gunshot wound to the head, as per court documents. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Subsequently, police apprehended Sean Black, aged 53, in relation to this incident.
Later, at 6:55 p.m., officers responded to another report in the 8500 block of North I-10 Service Road, where they found 19-year-old Kayron Hall suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was also declared dead at the scene. No further information has been made available at this time.
